The client brought a state problem in its own product
A smart-home company received reports from residents that wall controls, phone commands and network recovery sometimes left the app showing an earlier state.
It commissioned YIIIOT to investigate synchronization across its existing devices, gateway, cloud and application. We assessed useful components for retention while tracing the state changes.

Residents turn the light off, but the phone still shows it on. Eventually they stop trusting the app.
We followed the household’s sequence and message timing
YIIIOT reconstructed local actions, application updates and reconnect messages, distinguishing current information from older records arriving later.
We agreed wording for confirmed state, updating and temporary unavailability so residents could understand whether the device had confirmed the display.
YIIIOT corrected reporting and recovery coordination
We revised the relationship between device reports, gateway forwarding, cloud state and application refresh, defining message ordering and confirmation after reconnection.
Power recovery, network changes and multiple controls were included in integration. The client’s existing local controls remained, with agreed offline behavior checked.
The client’s product had state feedback it could verify
In this example, YIIIOT resolved the client’s state mismatch after reconnection and overlapping actions. Within the agreed scenarios, device states synchronized again and unconfirmed information had an explicit indication.
The client received matching versions, reproduction steps and diagnostic references for its support staff to use when residents reported another issue.

If users tell you the phone and the home disagree, describe one complete sequence of operations. That everyday detail can be a useful starting point.
