Giving a drone operator a shared fleet-maintenance history

The client’s fleet was operating, but its equipment history was scattered across people and messages. YIIIOT developed equipment records and maintenance tools that connected handovers, checks and servicing.

Illustrative story. The customer, conversation and outcome are examples, not a delivered customer project or measured result.

A growing fleet needed a clearer way to retain information

A work-drone operator approached YIIIOT about records for its own fleet. Aircraft moved between people while batteries, parts and firmware changed; important information remained in individual notes.

The client commissioned fleet-information tools to support its existing inspections and maintenance routines. YIIIOT’s role was to develop that capability around the operator’s workflow.

To find out what was replaced or how an earlier issue was handled, we often have to ask the person who was there. That gets harder as the fleet grows.

We followed a real handover process

YIIIOT worked with operators, technicians and managers to define what a handover needed: previous issues, replaced parts and open checks. Their tasks shaped the records and screens.

Device-generated information was distinguished from human confirmation, so staff could see what each source established and what required physical checking.

YIIIOT built a traceable equipment history

We connected aircraft and component identity, relevant operating data, firmware versions and maintenance entries, then developed the handover and lookup views.

Reminders followed the client’s agreed usage and maintenance rules, with named handling responsibilities. The records could also support later analysis, while inspection and operating procedures retained their safety role.

The client could hand over equipment with a shared record

The illustrated solution addressed scattered histories and lost context between staff. People could review the correct aircraft and parts and continue outstanding maintenance work.

YIIIOT handed over access, upkeep and version documentation. The client could maintain the history as its fleet changed; advanced prediction remained a separate question of suitable data and validation.
