Helping an irrigation-equipment maker confirm what happens in the field

The client’s existing product could send remote commands but could not clearly confirm execution to growers. YIIIOT connected device feedback, firmware and application states to address that gap.

Illustrative story. The customer, conversation and outcome are examples, not a delivered customer project or measured result.

The equipment maker brought growers’ feedback to YIIIOT

The client had already developed phone control for its irrigation equipment. A grower could see a success message yet still need someone to check whether water was flowing. The client’s original system lacked complete execution feedback.

The client commissioned YIIIOT to distinguish command transmission, device receipt and relevant field confirmation, including situations that still required inspection.

A grower presses the button and sees success, but still sends someone out to check the water. The original system cannot explain that part of the operation.

We established what each success message meant

YIIIOT traced the command, device handling and physical signals, then defined distinct states with the client instead of presenting different stages as one event.

We assessed which valve-position, pressure or flow feedback suited the existing equipment. The grower’s practical question shaped the sensing and messages.

YIIIOT brought field feedback back to the application

We adapted acquisition and firmware and updated cloud records and application messages. Waiting, confirmed and timed-out states each had a corresponding device event.

Integration included outages, repeated commands and restarts. Suitable existing valves and controllers were retained after interface assessment, with control changes agreed with the client.

The client’s product could explain execution clearly

The illustrated work resolved the client’s original confusion between sending a command and confirming the relevant response. Growers could see whether feedback had arrived and what required attention.

YIIIOT provided the equipment maker’s support staff with state definitions, device records and manual follow-up instructions. They could explain the situation to growers using the same information.
