Giving a shared-device operator useful information before each visit

The client’s locations were growing, but staff still travelled to discover what was wrong. YIIIOT developed device reporting and operations views to support preparation and follow-up.

The client’s inspection information had not kept pace with its business

A shared-device operator approached YIIIOT to improve visits to its own equipment. Staff often arrived before learning whether a device had lost its connection, needed supplies or required repair.

The client commissioned remote-operations tools so its staff could obtain useful context before dispatch. Existing equipment signals and interfaces were the starting point.

Sometimes we travel just to restart something. Other times there is a real fault and we arrive without the right parts.

We reviewed a day of the client’s inspections

YIIIOT and the client reviewed visit reasons, on-site actions and parts preparation, separating connection issues, operating faults and supply tasks.

We assessed available signals and justified additional sensing around specific decisions the operations staff needed to make.

YIIIOT connected device information with operations work

We improved identity, connectivity and event records in firmware and developed a view of recent changes, maintenance history and outstanding tasks.

Remote actions followed agreed access and operating conditions. Physical work remained clearly identified, with update and recovery instructions included.

The client could plan visits around known tasks

In this example, YIIIOT resolved the lack of equipment context before inspection. Operators could review states and history, prepare relevant tools and supplies, and then organize a visit.

Handling results stayed in the same history for later staff. We handed over versions, issue categories and maintenance information; any travel or cost improvement remained for the client’s operating records to establish.
